Wow what a great read. So much happened in this reading in terms of character development, theme, and plot progression.

First, the biggest thing is the change in character within CyFy or should I say CyTy and Lev. As we know Lev and Cy are on their way to Joplin to satisfy Tyler’s overhanging troubles. As they go on Tyler begins to take control of Cy's body due to the familiar images seen in Joplin. Soon they arrive at Tyler's parents’ house and by this time Cy has allowed Tyler to take complete control over his body. Tyler digs up a case full of jewels and in an epic climax Lev threatens the former parents into telling tyler that they will not unwind him in order to permanently settle his mind. Also Lev has changed from a well off, patient boy into a hard, aggressive man. You can tell this is happening because since Lev escaped he has conned a pawnbroker and potentially could have killed a man. Lev has been so tested by his experiences that he is a completely different kind of character.

In terms of theme, well there isn’t one! But there is one topic constantly debated over by the unwinds and everyone else and that is of course abortion. When the unwinds are loaded into their crates Hyden starts the discussion doing what he calls, :running your hand across a flame" His controversial topics provide a heated discussion throughout the flight. The unwinds talk about how you still live after you are unwound and the soul. They fail to come to a common conclusion over the topic.
